Birthday Treat
Sweet sticky iced donuts…
They smell delicious.
I’m pretty sure that’s not normal human food.
Maybe it’s his birthday?
I’d better pretend I haven’t seen.
I’ll wait until he’s finished and then I’ll lick his fingers!

***Updated AUGUST 18th***
A further update on Maduro. Now that F&B venues have opened again for vaccinated groups of 5 people in Singapore, I will be at Maduro on the 19th and 24th of August. I will give a short talk and introduction to my work and there will be an introduction to a special collaboration with renowned composer and music producer Ricky Ho. Contact the venue directly to reserve a place!
I’m delighted to announce that I have found a new home for my paintings.
Soirée – Unconventional. Filled with curated art, music, cocktails and food. Surrounded by lush greenery. Maduro is chic, sleek and definitely on fleek. But importantly, it is balanced and welcoming. A place to feel good with friends and indulge in some of life’s rewards.
Maduro is the brainchild, and in many ways the sum of life experiences, of the indubitable Mr P.
Piano player, self-confessed cigar aficionado and now, I’m happy to say, friend.
My paintings will be on display and on sale at Maduro for the foreseeable future. I’m excited and humbled to be able to show them in this of all venues. I’ve often admired the art here, so when Mr P. tracked me down through my exhibition at the Musical Box Museum, and expressed an interest in my work, I was suitably honoured. Having got to know Mr P. over the last few months, I have a great deal of respect for him and feel connected to this place through his creativity.
I am looking forward to a time hopefully not too long away, when the music plays once more, the drinks flow and the aroma of a good cigar wafts gently on the evening air.
I’m hoping this will be the start of something enduring and it is my intention to collaborate further with Mr P. and the fabulous Maduro team. So watch this space!
In the meantime, If you get a chance to visit Maduro when they re-open (all being well from the 21st June) then grab it with both hands, and you will also get to see my paintings looking quite content in their sublime new surroundings!
